You’ve Found the Secret Realm
You found it!
The secret realm is a sneak peek into what truly makes Bad Cat tick. Its a list of the resources that I frequent as a part of my personal spiritual practice in the form of book recs, podcasts, and more!
Enjoy this intimate look at some of my personal favorites. Oh, and make sure to visit the realm again from time to time, who knows, it could change.

Demystify Magic
I absolutely ADORE this podcast. It’s a fun blend of practical, low effort witch tips, often with scientific proof to back it up, and lots and lots of heart. Molly’s goofiness and Madison’s relatability come together to make you feel like you’re sitting around with your witchy friends. I’ve laughed, cried, learned, and been awe inspired by this podcast––sometimes all within the same episode.
Burnout
Okay, so this is one isn’t explicitly witchy by any means, but if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by life and you could only ever read one single book in the self help genre, please let it be this one. Sister authors give readers actionable, evidence-backed steps towards understanding and undoing the cycles that lead to chronic stress. This book is geared towards women but it is for anyone who’s felt held back by burnout.
This is an actual photo of this series on my mantle in my home––that’s how much I use these. Every book is a succinct deep dive into each of the eight pagan sabbats, including both the historical and modern ways each day/season can be celebrated. These books are deeply rooted in Wicca, but, even as someone who is not Wiccan, I find them to be thoughtfully inclusive towards readers of any spiritual inclination. They are full of recipes, rituals, spells, and history that I find myself looking for as the wheel of the year turns. If you’re particularly connected to one or two sabbats, each book stands alone nicely as well.

Astrology of the Week Ahead
Chani such has such a deserved following as an astrologer. Her celestial interpretations strike a balance between inspiration and education with undertones that inspire political activism. She clearly wants us both as individuals and a collective to be strengthened by the knowledge of what the stars have in store for us. Releasing every Monday, her pod is a welcome way I start each week.
